Yamamura the Wanderer is a Co-Operator in Bloodborne's The Old Hunters DLC.
Description[]
An Old Hunter imprisoned in the Hunter's Nightmare, Yamamura is the only voice heard from the Underground Cell as one passes through.
He was a warrior of a distant Eastern land and pursued a beast "for honourable revenge". Once the beast was slain, he became a member of The League and was gifted his hat and a League Staff.
Before the time of the player, he lost his mind after staring straight into impurity. His consciousness was then sent to the Hunter's Nightmare and locked up in a cell. Players can find him in the cell, madly smashing his head against the wall while reciting a sort of poem.
He cannot be interacted with. The only thing players can do is end his misery with death.
He dons a unique attire, the Yamamura Set, and wields a Chikage and Piercing Rifle, when summoned to battle.
Location[]
- The very first cell found in the dungeon past the Underground Corpse Pile Lamp.
Summon Locations[]
As a member of The League, Yamamura can be summoned ONLY while the Impurity rune is equipped.
- Yahar'gul, Unseen Village:
- Darkbeast Paarl:
- His summon sign is in plain sight along the path to the Graveyard of the Darkbeast after dropping from the cave exit.
- The One Reborn:
- His summon sign is behind a carriage on the left side of the road a short distance before the boss room.
- Darkbeast Paarl:
- Research Hall:
- Living Failures:
- Right before the boss arena, near the pleading Clocktower Patient.
- Living Failures:
Dialogue[]
Yamamura appears to recite himself a poem, or mantra, repeating it over and over again.
"Shrouded by night but with steady stride.
Colored by blood, but always clear of mind.
Proud hunter of the Church
Beasts are a curse, and the curse is a shackle.
Only ye are the true blades of the Church."
Notes[]
- The key to his cell is the Underground Cell Key.
- Upon killing Yamamura, he becomes available as a summon.
- Summoning Yamamura for Darkbeast Paarl or The One Reborn will not allow you to summon Defector Antal.
Trivia[]
- Yamamura's title as "the Wanderer" is owed to the fact that he came from a far off land, a land that is quite obviously inspired in Japan, as both his weapon and attire, as well as even his name.
- Yamamura's name is likely the mix of two Japanese words: "Yama", meaning "Mountain" and "Mura" meaning "Village", or more curiously, "Hamlet".
