Vitality is a stat in Bloodborne.
Description[]
In-Game Description
- Attribute governing HP and equip load.
General Information[]
Vitality is, without a doubt, the most important stat in the game, or at the very least, the least negligible and most useful of all stats, as it increases the amount of health players have. This is important especially in boss fights where bosses can occasionally, if not often, dish out tremendous amounts of damage with a single blow. Raising the stat will therefore make it less likely that this will occur.
Health Increase per Level[]
As with all stats, there will be diminishing returns upon reaching a certain level, the following is the list of average increases in health by level, followed by a more detailed table that goes up to level 59.
The Soft Cap starts at level 40, whereas the Hard Cap is at 50.
- Level 10/20: +20/25 HP
- Level 16: +16HP
- Level 20/30: +28/34 HP
- Level 30/40: +23/21 HP
- Level 40/50: + 21/14 HP
- Level 49: +11 HP
- Level 50/60: +8/9 HP

Notes[]
- Practically speaking, a player should try to have between 40 and 50 Vitality to squeeze as much health value from the stat as possible.
- Along with Endurance, this is tied as the most important stat to level up.
Trivia[]
- In previous Souls games, Vitality was used as the stat the governed the amount of weight you could wear on your person, allowing players to carry more and heavier equipment. Here, however, it is instead the equivalent to Vigor.
