Bloodborne Wiki

Time for chapter 5. This one is one of the longer chapters in this story. This chapter introduced the last main character in this story. This one is called "Young Blood". Enjoy.

There is a reference to one of my favorite bands in this chapter. The first person to comment on it is officially my second favorite person on this wiki.

Young Blood[]

Logan and Brandon were woken up early in the morning by Gideon. It appeared to be around 5 A.M., since it was still dark.

“Rise and shine, you two”, Gideon said. “Vlad has an assignment for you two.”

“Why so early?” Logan asked as he stood up.

“Vlad has a very important assignment for you two”, Gideon said. “It’s just like what I had to do when I first joined. I’ve only been in this organization for about a week, and I know that Vlad does not like to be kept waiting. So let’s go.”

Brandon and Logan got up, and followed Gideon to the armory, where Vlad and Deacon were waiting for them. Vlad looked like he had been up for quite a while, whereas Deacon looked like he had just woken up, just like Logan and Brandon.

“Good to see you two up”, Vlad said. “Are you two ready for your first assignment?”

“I guess”, Brandon said as he tried to suppress a yawn. “I haven’t been awake this early in maybe 10 years.”

“We make all of our new recruits get up early for their first assignment”, Vlad said. “Your first assignment is very important. It is a rite of passage for Youngbloods to become what we call Blooded warriors. We have a designated hunting ground about 10 miles North of here where we send most Youngbloods. We do make exceptions, like Gideon here, though. I want you two to go to this hunting ground, and kill a wolf. When you each have killed on, take a took from its corpse. That will show me that you are ready to become true warriors. I’m sending Gideon and Deacon will y’all. Since y’alls fathers were the founders of our group, my father wanted y’all to try to develop a bond with each other. I don’t know how I feel about that, but I respect my father’s wishes. Any questions?”

“Is there a catch?” Logan asked.

“There is”, Vlad said. “You will not be allowed to bring firearms with you on your hunt. Only a knife, and a bow or crossbow.” He turned around, and picked up two knives in sheaths, and gave the brothers each one of them. They fitted the sheathes on the left side of their belts. “Brandon, I saw that you brought a bow with you, and we tend to let our people use their own weapons, so you may bring that with you. Logan, would you like a bow or a crossbow?”

“I’ll take a crossbow”, Logan said.

“You can borrow mine when we get there”, Gideon said. “It’s very unique.”

“Thank you, Gideon”, Logan said.

“I think you four should be off now”, Vlad said. “Once y’all are finished, come straight back.”

“I’ll make sure of it”, Gideon said.

“Then off you go”, Vlad said.

Logan, Brandon, Gideon, and Deacon took off on their first assignment together. It took them about an hour to travel the 10 miles on horseback. Gideon’s horse was red, and Deacon’s was brown, like Brandon’s. They had a long, four way conversation, on the way there, and could tell that they were all going to be good friends. When they got to the hunting ground, they dismounted, and tied their horses to a tree so they wouldn’t run off. Gideon gave Logan his crossbow.

“Try not to scratch it”, Gideon said. “I love this weapon more than anything else.”

“What’s so special about it?” Logan asked.

“You’ll see when you fire it”, Gideon said.

The men began hunting for wolves. For hours, they found nothing. The hunting ground spanned about 50 miles, so there were plenty of places for a wolf to hide. It wasn’t until an hour later that they encountered two wolves. Brandon shot one with his bow, and it ran off. Logan, however, hesitated. It wasn’t until the wolf began charging the group did Logan pull the trigger, sending a volley of crossbow bolts into its head, killing it. As Brandon went to track down the wolf he saw, Logan started hyperventilating. He took out his coin, flipped it, and slapped it onto his left wrist. He then gave Gideon back his crossbow.

“That thing is wicked”, Logan said excitedly.

“It is”, Gideon said. “I can’t wait to kill some Silent Fang with it.”

Logan bent down next to the wolf he killed, took his knife out, and cut one of its teeth out. He put the tooth into one of the pouches on his belt. He then noticed something taped to the wolf’s stomach. He flipped the wolf onto its back, and saw that it was a note. He read it.

Blood Brothers,

Y’all don’t know who I am, but I know who you are. I know y’all want to drive the Silent Fang completely out of our continent. I can help you. I have a network of informants inside the Silent Fang, and I know how they operate. If you want to defeat them, meet me at the White Pony Inn in Ancrya today. I’ll be there all day. If you’re not here before midnight, then your window is over. Your choice.

A friend

Logan showed the note to Gideon and Deacon. Brandon came back with his wolf tooth.

“What do you think about this?” Logan asked.

“I think we should go see this guy”, Gideon said.

“How do you know it’s a guy?” Deacon asked. “It could be a female. We won’t know until we see.”

“Smartass”, Gideon whispered under his breath.

“What should we do?” Logan asked.

“Let’s go right now”, Gideon said.

“But Vlad wanted us to come back after we were finished here”, Brandon said.

“I know, but I think we should take this offer”, Gideon said. “It’s possible that someone is messing with us, but if he’s not, this could be our best chance to avenge our fathers.”

“I’m with Gideon”, Logan said. “We should go.”

“I agree”, Deacon said.

“Let’s go”, Gideon said. The four men returned to their horses, and went to Ancrya, which was 5 miles South of the Brotherhood’s hunting ground. They arrived, and asked a civilian where to find the White Pony Inn. They went to the Inn, and it was fairly crowded.

“How do we know where our guy is?” Logan asked.

“They’ll see us”, Deacon said. “Let’s just wait.”

Like Deacon had predicted, they were approached by a tavern worker.

“Excuse me gentlemen”, he said as he pointed to the far left corner of the tavern, where there was barely any lighting. “That man over there wants to speak with y’all.”

“Thank you, kind sir”, Gideon said. They went to approach their contact, and he gestured for them to sit. He was wearing an outfit that appeared to be inspired by the legendary Doctor Plague. It consisted of a black trench coat with a cape around the collar that was inspired by the ones worn by old church doctors, tan pants, black boots, the right one of which had an ankle knife attached to it, and black fingerless gloves. He wore no headgear, revealing long black hair. His face was concealed by the darkness around him.

“Are you the one who left us that note?” Gideon asked.

“I am”, the man said in a rich, deep voice. “Are y’all the Blood Brothers?”

“We are”, Gideon said. “How do you know about our organization?”

“I have a lot of contacts”, he said. “I assume you want to know how I can help you.”

“You’re correct”, Gideon said.

“Like I said in my letter, I have people inside the Silent Fang”, he said. “I know how many men they have, and what they’re planning.”

“What are they planning?” Deacon asked.

“That’s the thing”, the man said. “If you want my help, I want to speak with your leader.”

“That might be a problem”, Gideon said. “I’m not sure if he’ll let you inside the gate.”

“What?” he asked. “Is Ragnar Sakharine that insecure?”

“How do you know that name?” Deacon asked.

“Like I said”, he said. “I have a lot of informants.”

Logan leaned over and whispered into Gideon’s ear. “I think we should trust this guy.”

“We’ll take you to our base”, Gideon said.

“Thank you”, the man said as he took out a fat cigar. He put it in his mouth, and lit it, which illuminated his face enough to reveal that he was Eastern Armenian, and had several large scars on his face. He appeared to be older than Deacon, the oldest of the group. “Shall we be off?”

“Come with us”, Gideon said. They left the bar. When they were outside, Gideon turned towards the man. “What’s your name?”

“My name’s not important”, he said. “But if you want to call me something, I like to be called Sever.”

“Sever”, Gideon said. “I’m Gideon. My compatriots here are Deacon, Brandon, and Logan.”

“Nice to meet all of you”, Sever said. “Let’s go.”

The five men mounted their horses, and left Ancrya. They returned to the Blood Brothers’ headquarters, and went into the gate. Vlad was waiting for them. As the group approached him after they dismounted, it was very clear that he was furious.

“I told y’all to come back immediately after you completed your assignment”, Vlad said. “What took you so long? And who the hell is this stranger?”

“I’m terribly sorry, sir”, Gideon said as he reached into his pocket, and pulled out Sever’s letter and handed it to Vlad. “This man left this letter on the body of a wolf. I had to be sure if it was real.” Vlad examined the letter, and seemed to be much calmer.

“What’s your name, stranger?” Vlad asked.

“I go by the name Sever”, Sever said. Vlad looked at Gideon, and handed the letter back to him.

“Can you bring Sever here to speak to my father?” Vlad asked.

“Of course”, Gideon said. “Come on, Sever.”

Vlad looked at Deacon. “You’re dismissed, Deacon”, he said, leading to Deacon going away. Vlad then looked at the Draconis brothers. “Was your hunt successful?” The brothers each took out their wolf teeth. Vlad took them, removed a few pieces of thick string from his pocket, formed them into wolf tooth necklaces, and gave them back to the brothers. “Well done. Come with me.”

Vlad led Logan and Brandon to the armory. He gathered two revolvers in holsters, some bullets, two patches that read “Blooded”, and two scarfs that could serve as a face mask. He gave the brothers one of each.

“I completely forgot to give y’all your Youngblood patches, but that doesn’t matter”, Vlad said. “You two are Blooded warriors now. It’s getting late. I’d recommend that you two get some rest.”

Logan and Brandon returned to their tent. They each sowed their patches to the upper left sleeve of their shirts, and fitted the revolvers to the right side of their belts. They decided to get some rest afterwards.

End[]

That concludes chapter 5. The next chapter will be out tomorrow. Tell me what you think in the comments.

By the way, I totally picture Sever as Markiplier.
