The Rope Molotov Cocktail is a consumable item in Bloodborne.

In-Game Description

Exploding Molotov cocktail that is thrown behind.
Allows for more maneuvering compared to an ordinary Molotov cocktail, and can catch foes off guard.
Since the tragedy that struck Old Yharnam, fire has become a staple in beast hunts, and is thought to cleanse impurity.
Certain types of beasts have an abnormal fear of flame.

It is essentially a regular Molotov Cocktail that is thrown behind the player to cause fire damage. It is ideal when being pursued, whether by Beasts or other foes.

  • It can be quite an effective item, as it has a much faster throwing animation than the regular Molotov Cocktail.
  • Can be used in junction with the Oil Urn rather effectively. Provoking a large beast by throwing the urn at it, and when it pursues the player, simply throw the Rope Molotov to deal a large amount of damage.
  • In situations where the player might need to throw a Molotov down a ledge, this is the better option, as the throwing animation does not move the player at all, and it is dropped very close to he player.

  • Interestingly enough, this item went on to inspire Rope Firebombs in Dark Souls III.
