- The Red Blood Gem is essentially a unique Tempering Blood Gem.
- This Blood Gem, along with the other unique Blood Gems (before the DLC), seemingly match the cycles of the moon. This one being 'blood moon', the Tear Blood Gem being 'nightfall' and the Gold Blood Gem being 'sunset'.
