Dropped by Alfred

Radiance is an Oath Memory Caryll Rune in Bloodborne.

In-Game Description

A secret symbol left by Caryll, runesmith of Byrgenwerth.
The rune for "Radiance," adopted by the sworn Executioners under Logarius' command.
The Executioners despise the impure Vilebloods, and no matter what the circumstances, would never cooperate with the bloodthirsty hunters who serve the undead queen, Annalise.

  • Complete Alfred's questline. It will be acquired at the first spot where Alfred is met.
  • Can be acquired if players choose to kill him, but only after he himself has killed a "certain character".

"Radiance" rune. Symbol of the Executioners.

  • 2% of the player's total HP increase to health restored by using Blood Vials.
  • Makes players a part of the Executioners, who are in open conflict with the Cainhurst Vilebloods. This means that if a player with the Radiance rune summons or is summoned by a player using the Corruption rune, then they must fight each other instead of cooperating.

  • Useful for players who find themselves healing very often, or for those that just want a bit more efficiency out of each heal.

  • It is the only Rune to have a golden glow to it. Every other rune has either a blue or red glow.
  • The Gold Ardeo might have been based on this rune.
  • There seem to be 4 elements in this rune.
    • The "sun", depicted by the rays of light that originate from the top point of the triangle.
    • The "chalice", depicted by the half ovaloid shape in the center.
    • The "eye", which is made up from the light that penetrates slightly into the chalice.
  • The symbol is similar to the Eye of Providence
  • The Japanese name for this Rune is: '輝き', which can mean 'radiance', 'brilliance', 'brightness' et cetera.
