Sold by the Messengers after obtaining the Powder Keg Hunter Badge. Random loot |
An Oil Urn is a consumable item in Bloodborne.
Description[]
In-Game Description
- When this urn hits its mark, the target is drenched in oil, and made extremely flammable.
- Fire is commonplace on the hunt, and oil urns accentuate its effect. Sometimes, when hunters burn beasts, they appear intoxicated by the euphoria of purification.
Availability[]
- Purchased from the Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream after obtaining the Powder Keg Hunter Badge.
- Oil Urns can be found on corpses scattered throughout Yharnam.
- Rare drop from the Large Huntsmen.
- Rare drop from the Blood Gel in Chalice Dungeons.
Effect[]
Throwing an urn at an enemy will cover it in flammable oil, which will trigger a burst of fire on its next hit from a source of Fire, dealing roughly twice the damage, but only of the Fire damage.
The burst of fire does not hit multiple oponents, only the one where the Oil Urn was applied to.
Notes[]
- The following is a list of all possible fire sources from the player:
- Molotov Cocktail
- Torch
- Boom Hammer
- Fire Paper imbued weapon
- Fire-infused weapon (with Fire Blood Gems or Odd Fire Blood Gems)
- The Cannon and Church Cannon deal Blood damage as they use Quicksilver Bullets, therefore they don't synergize with the Oil Urns at all.
- A common tactic of using Oil Urns is to make builds around a Fire-infused Stake Driver, as it boasts one of the highest charge attack damage outputs in the game.
- If a player has been hit by an Oil Urn, an orange symbol below the health bar will appear to show that you have increased vulnerability to fire, and must let some time expire before they are safe. Being hit by a fire source will cause an explosion that severely damages the player.
- Standing on "Oil Pools" produces the same effect, but the player loses the status effect as soon as they leave the pool of oil.
Trivia[]
- The Oil Urn's item icon somewhat resembles the Firebomb item icon from Dark Souls.
