The Hunter Set is a set of attire in Bloodborne.

Availability[]

Two complete, yet different, Hunter Sets can be found in-game.

  • Central Yharnam:
    • The caped version with the withered feathered cap and cape is found within the sewers in Yharnam. One must reach the path leads to the Cleric Beast and go in the opposite direction, towards the two Scourge Beasts. Off into the right there will be a path with a hidden makeshift passage that leads downwards into the sewers blocked by destructible crates. It is located at the end of it, near a Large Huntsman, hidden to the left.
  • Cathedral Ward:
    • The capeless version with the top hat is found after exiting the Oedon Chapel from the left. It is hidden slightly off to the right behind tombstones. Do not linger at the area where the clothes can be found though, as an Amygdala will grab the player if they stay for seconds longer.

Characteristics[]

Notes[]

  • Both variants have little to no difference in stats.
  • It is worn by Henriett. She wears the caped garb and top hat.
  • The capeless variant has the highest Frenzy resistance in the main game, save for the headpiece, making it ideal for exploring places like the Nightmare of Mensis, or when facing enemies like Winter Lanterns.

Trivia[]

  • The caped version is the more "professional" of the two as it is intended to have a cape to wipe away blood and a cap with face cover to perhaps prevent infections and maintain anonymity while out on the hunt.
    • The capeless version could pass as the "business casual" of the two, but it is also implied that hunters who wore this set did so because they wished to maintain the semblance of civilized appearance despite their grim profession.
  • The trademark attire of Bloodborne is the Hunter Set with the capeless version and the withered feathered cap.
  • The Hunter Hat was based on Retired Hunter Djura's Gray Wolf Cap.
  • The Top Hat is favored by Gehrman when he fights the player.
  • Strangely, the corpse holding the set wears the Yharnam Hunter Set. Likely an oversight.
