The Flamesprayer is a Left Hand Weapon in Bloodborne.
Description[]
In-Game Description
- A special weapon used by certain members of the Healing Church.
- Spits searing flames by using blood-imbued Quicksilver Bullets as a special medium.
- Not the most efficient weapon by any stretch, but sometimes a sea of flame is just what the doctor ordered.
- Besides, the beasts of Yharnam can always use a good cleansing.
Location[]
- Central Yharnam:
- Given by Gilbert in Central Yharnam if the player beats Father Gascoigne, but only before Vicar Amelia is defeated.
- Sold by the Bath Messengers for 8,000 Blood Echoes after acquiring the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge.
Characteristics[]
The Flamesprayer, when used, will consume 1 QS bullet per 3 ticks of pure fire damage. As such, it should come as no surprise that it is effective against beasts.
Players should note that, despite it being rather powerful early on in the game, sustained use will quickly use up one's quicksilver bullets. Therefore, using it sparingly against larger beasts or tight groups of beasts is recommended.
It is also worth mentioning that this is a weapon that relies little on scaling. Its high base damage and multiple damage ticks per bullet spent make it excellent even for players who did not invest in Arcane.
Notes[]
- This weapon is used by the Church Servants right before the plaza where Church Giants are roaming.
- There is a similar weapon to this, which deals Arcane damage, the Rosmarinus.
- It can be boosted with the Bone Marrow Ash, which will increase the radius and reach of the cone of fire, as well as boosting damage, making it great for finishing off Beasts. This is not extremely efficient however, as the boost only lasts for one Quicksilver Bullet use, meaning it will only apply to the initial spray.
- This weapon is essential in early game for fully dedicated Arcane builds, as it allows players to melt through most enemies, even non-beasts, and it can be made even more powerful if an enemy is riposted and backstabbed, and then sprayed with the flames.
- Most large beast bosses, like Vicar Amelia, and the Cleric Beast might not even be able to attack once, if the player focuses on each limb of the boss until it is staggered. This results in the boss being staggered back to back on each limb, and effectively reducing the boss fight into holding down L2.
Trivia[]
- The visual differences between it and the Rosmarinus is that the latter does not have a black cone with a thin tube on the end of the firing pipe, while also being made of a silver-like metal.
