The Dark Well is an unmarked location in Bloodborne's The Old Hunters DLC.

Description

Lying in the very center of the Fishing Hamlet's Plaza, there is a Dark Well.

This well was, likely, formerly the Fishing Hamlet's source of fresh water. After the Great One Kos drifted ashore, the outlook of the village changed, and so did the well.

Nowadays, the villagers use the well as they use the rest of their underground cave system, to cultivate Phantasms.

The dark well is also, more importantly, the place Lady Maria cast her Rakuyo into, after the massacre she and the other Byrgenwerth Scholars had committed in the Fishing Hamlet.

Note

• There are two Giant Fishmen in the area, one drops the Rakuyo. It is advised to use Shaman Bone Blade to turn the giants against each other.
  • Using Fire Paper, or Fire Blood Gems, in combination with Oil Urns is also advised as they are very sensitive to Fire damage.
