Sold by the Messengers after obtaining the Spark Hunter Badge. Rarely dropped by Kidnappers. |
Bolt Paper is a consumable item in Bloodborne.
Description
In-Game Description
- Coarse paper that applies bolt to weapons when rubbed.
- Invented by Archibald, the infamous eccentric of the Healing Church workshop. Artificially recreates the blue sparks that are said to surround darkbeasts.
- Unlike the other strange weapons created by Archibald, this one was favored by many hunters. In particular those who had even once laid eyes on a darkbeast.
Availability
- It can be found on corpses around Yahar'gul, Unseen Village.
- Rarely dropped by Kidnappers.
- Purchased from the Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream for 9,600 Blood Echoes or 1 Insight after obtaining the Spark Hunter Badge.
Effects
Using Bolt Paper will buff your right-hand weapon with 80 Bolt damage for one minute. It is excellent for fighting the Kin, or ethereal enemies. However, save for the Reiterpallasch, Bolt Paper cannot be used to buff any right-hand weapon with more than one damage type.
Notes
- There are only two other items that buff your weapon. One is the counterpart to this item, the Fire Paper, and the other is an Arcane Hunter Tool named Empty Phantasm Shell.
Trivia
- This item is the spiritual successor to Dark Souls' Gold Pine Resin.
- The blue sparks are exactly the same as those that surround the Darkbeasts.
- Created by Archibald, Bolt Paper is likely in plentiful supplies in Yahar'gul as the main users of his creations were from the School of Mensis.
