An Antidote is a consumable item in Bloodborne.
Description[]
In-Game Description
- Small medicinal tablets that counteract poison.
- Used to treat ashen blood, the baffling sickness that ravaged Old Yharnam long ago.
- These tablets only provide short-term relief. The ashen blood ailment eventually triggered the spread of the beastly scourge.
Availability[]
- On a corpse behind the pillar in the room where the Blood-starved Beast is fought.
- Various places throughout the game.
- Purchased from the Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream using Blood Echoes. The price varies based on player progression through the game.
- Rare drop from Carrion Crow.
Use[]
Antidotes will completely heal and stop Slow Poison and Rapid Poison buildup.
Notes[]
- This item is a must when fighting the Blood-starved Beast, or when traversing poisonous pools, such as those in the Forbidden Woods' shortcut back to Iosefka's Clinic, or those found in the Hintertomb Chalices.
- It is best to always wear Attire that boosts the resistances against poison as it allows more time for players to use the Antidote before the condition is applied.
- Church Attire usually has some of the best Slow Poison and Rapid Poison resistances.
- The Clear Deep Sea and Stunning Deep Sea runes will boost Slow Poison and Rapid Poison resistances, respectively.
Trivia[]
- It is believed that the Ashen Blood disease was used by the Healing Church to gain favor in Blood Ministration. The Antidote was not a sufficient cure to treat this disease and its inefficiency led most of the city to become zealots and addicts.
