I been trying to understand Bloodborne in a conceptual way. I have been revisiting The Matrix movie ( one of the coolest movies from the late 90s, but I forgot a lot about it) and the whole structure is based on the fundamentals of the Matrix.
Bloodborne > Matrix
Dreamworld, hunter dream/ nightmare > The Matrix (simulation)
Real World/ waking world: Yharman, all non-dream/ nightmare - the destroyed world, human in biopod/ Zion.
It is hinted the Matrix real world is another layer of simulation, something I feel bloodborne wake world isn't that real either/ destroyed.
Moon presence - Deus Ex Machina
The hunter - Neo / Mr. Anderson
Great ones, Kos, Oden - Matrix OS programs like the Architect, the Oracle
Less Great one: Amy, bloodborne bosses - Lesser program app, antivirus Agent Smith. Merovingian, Persephone
The Doll/ Gehrman - Morpheus
Prof William/ Laurence - Morpheus - maybe.
Fighting Gehramn - red or blue pill
The infection plague of the beast - the war between humans and robots.
Pthumeran - Human before the robot control.
Umbilical cord- the cord connected to the human brain in the biopod
The operation table - The biopod
Insight /great one wisdom- A.I.
Doll/ Lady Maria- Trinity this is a stretch
Djura - Cypher
Bloodborne 2 - The Matrix Resurrections, Resurrection felt like the first matrix, which could be a remake.
Other movies based on physical looks: The Brotherhood of the wolves. The hunter looks like the highwayman in black that does kung fu. There are a lot of bloodborne items borrowed from the brotherhood. Dracula, werewolf stuff like Van Helsing and Underwood. The Assassin's Creed operation table is like the Hunter operation table.
